Liptov is a historical and geographical region in northern Slovakia with around 140,000 inhabitants

Historical and cultural centres of Liptov are the towns of Liptovský Mikuláš, Ružomberok and Liptovský Hrádok. Liptov is surrounded by the highest mountains in Slovakia: High Tatras, West Tatras and Chočské vrchy from the north, Low Tatras from the south, Greater Fatra from the west and Popradská kotlina from the east. The longest Slovak river of Váh runs through Liptov and fills the important water reservoir of Liptovská Mara. There are two Slovak national parks with the highest level of protection in the territory of Liptov, they are the Tatra National Park and the Low Tatras National Park.

The highest mountain of Liptov is Tatransky Krivan (2494 metres/ 8182 feet)

The lowest level is water table of river Váh pri Kraľovanoch (430 metres / 1410 feet)

Not far from the Villa Delikua is Dumbier the highest mountain in the Low Tatra range ( 2043 metres / 6702 feet ) follows Kralova Hola (1751 metres / 5744 feet ) and Salatin ( 1630 metres / 5347 feet )southside and on the north side are Banikov (2178 metres / 7145 feet ) or Baranec ( 2184 metres / 7165 feet).

If you prefer skiing there are many places where you can go like Chopok, Malino Brdo and Skipark Ruzomberok. This is a promised land whether for all skiers or passion snowborders.

Villa delikua has a great location and you can spend a very nice vacation here. Region is a paradise for skiing during the winter time and also for hiking, cycling during the summer time. Except places we already mentioned above we can recommend you to visit Demanovska dolina, Jasna, a lovely village named Vlkolinec which is written in UNESCO book as a national memory. There are other places where you can enjoy yourself with your family members or friends like Spa Lucky, Liptovska Mara – a water dam and Aquapark Tatralandia.
